Scott Cooper, director of Black Mass, Hostiles, and, Antlers has teamed up with Margaret Qualley, Cross Creek Pictures, and Team Downey in a new psychological thriller, ‘A Head Full of Ghosts’.
Scott Cooper and Cross Creek Pictures Have A Proven Track Record
“This isn’t the first rodeo for Scott Cooper and Cross Creek Pictures.” according to the Scott Cooper Miami Fan Club, “In 2015, the pair released Black Mass, based in Boston, Massachusetts and Miami Beach, Florida. It starred Johnny Depp and was based on the book Black Mass: The True Story of an Unholy Alliance Between the FBI.
“Johnny Depp gives one of his most impressive performances for a while and the rest of the cast, including Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jesse Plemmins and Dakota Johnson, also offer quality performances.” stated Mac Vennuci of the Fox Chronicle, “Anyone who likes a good crime or gangster film will enjoy Black Mass and the convincing performance Depp delivers.”
The movie is being financed by Cross Creek. CAA is representing U.S. rights and Mad River will be distributing the film internationally.
“A Head Full of Ghosts “is an adaptation of Paul Tremblay’s Bram Stoker Award-winning horror novel, and Cooper is revising the current draft.” as reported by Deadline on February 14, 2020, “When 8-year-old Merry’s older sister exhibits signs of an indeterminate and terrifying affliction, the Barrett family slowly tears itself apart. Now, 20 years later, Merry is confronted with her family’s traumatic past when Rachel, a journalist with a similarly haunted past, delves into the case, causing Merry to relive and reconsider the devastating memories of her childhood.”
Margaret Qualley is No Stranger To Hollywood Success
Sarah Margaret Qualley made her acting debut in 2013. She has already earned nominations for an Emmy and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Her biggest commercial success to date has been Quentin Tarantino’s comedy-drama, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Margaret is the daughter of Andie MacDowell, known for her starring roles in Love after Love, Groundhog Day, and The Muse.
